Best available technology (BAT)
- Fully automated facility planned for multi-staged combustion air supply & multi-staged flue gas recirculation to mechanized water cooled oscillating grate (WCOG) for best control of NOx and CO emissions from Biomass fired boilers
Selective catalytic reduction (SCR)
- Selective Catalytic Reduction Process removes nitrogen oxides (NOx) from flue gases by injecting ammonia (NH3) or Urea solution into the flue gas and passing the well mixed gases through a catalyst bed.
- NOx reacts with NH3 in the presence of the catalyst to produce nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O)
Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SCNR)
- In selective non-catalytic reduction reduces NOx via injection of ammonia or urea solution into the upper furnace and / or convection section in boiler.
- The optimum temperature range, where a noticeable NOx reduction is achieved, is between 900 and 1100 °C
